Conference 'Extreme Events in Rivers and Coast’
On the occasion of its 100th anniversary, the Society Hidrotechnique of France (SFH) organized in Paris, the 1st and 2nd of February, the Conference 'Extreme Events in Rivers and Coast'.
During the conference, many experts and professionals of the sector discussed and analyzed this type of natural phenomena with the aim of determine the vulnerability of society facing this events and establish general preventions lines for floods and droughts.
Manuel Cayuela, from Hydraulic Works Supervision Unit of Euroestudios in Saragossa, and Ebro River Basin representatives took part in this debate with a presentation on the National Floodplain Mapping System in the Ebro River Basin, which is being developed by Euroestudios.
