Last April the 20^th, Euroestudios Laboratory dept. sited in Vitoria-Gasteiz, received at their facilities a group of students from the San Sebastian Superior Technical Architecture School.

Miren E. Miguel and Javier Vecino, both technicians from this laboratory, attended the group formed by Professor José Miguel Martínez and his students that were also joined by Ignacio Rodríguez - Avial.

This visit was organized with the aim of showing the students the real world involving engineering and architectural companies. Euroestudios' technicians explained what kind of works and tests are performed inside a Quality Laboratory: concrete and reinforcement bars, geotechnical, soils and aggregate, surveys...

The students that took part at this first visit to the Euroestudios Laboratory had the opportunity to determine by different tests the concrete strength using test cylinders. During this exercise, the students participated in the whole process from the making-process of the test pieces to the final compression testing.

Concerning the area of soils and roads, the students showed great interest in some of the tests performed with some mixed bituminous at high temperatures, such as water sensitivity and the binder content determination tests.

Euroestudios has a solid commitment with Universities. In this sense, several agreements are undersigned with some University Technological Schools that stablish scholarships to students from Engineering and Architectural Universities.
