5th International Symposium and Exhibition on Cleaner Production

 

The Panama Industrialists Association has organized, together with the National Environment Agency, the 5th International Symposium and Exhibition on Cleaner Production. Among the treated subjects in this new edition were included wastewater treatment and its consequences, climate changes, air quality...

Euroestudios took part in this event with a stand, where water and environmental projects were presented. Likewise, Jorge Fernández Ontivero, Chief of Water Quality Section, made a presentation about depuration of spills from dairy industry.

The 5th Tunnels Symposium

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The Road Engineering Technical Association has organized this new symposium under the theme "Security for the twenty-first century tunnels". On the agenda were discussed, among other issues, risk analysis, the responsible at its different stages, ventilation systems, fire control, extinguishing systems, or the contingency plans and security.

Euroestudios offered three presentations:

- Adaptation of Rañadoiro tunnel, by Antonio Carreras, Geotechnical Section Head.

- Development of a tunnel fire hydrant, by Constantino Gago, R&D Section Head.

- R&D project to develop a methodology for risk analysis in road tunnels, by Juan Manuel Sanz Sacristán, Head of Transport Facilities Section.

At the Euroestudios' stand, the company had the opportunity of presenting several projects in terms of tunnels and their R&D related projects.

The 11th National Congress of Civil Enginnering and the 16th Congress of Sanitary and Environmental Engineering

In late October, were held jointly by the 11th Congress of Civil Engineering and the 16th Congress of Sanitary and Environmental Engineering, under the theme "Civil and Environmental Engineering for a better quality of life", in Panama City. Both events were organized as usual by the Interamerican Association of Sanitary and Environmental Engineering PANADIS Panama Chapter, and the College of Civil Engineering of the Panamian Society of Engineers and Architects SPIA.

Jorge Fernández Ontivero, Section Head of Water Quality of Euroestudios, gave a presentation about water treatment in small cities.
